Description
This invalid feeder measures about 11 cm in length and 6.5 cm at its highest.
It is in good condition and has a maker's mark in underglaze blue on the underside of the base. This could be the mark of a German factory called Elbogen.
It is decorated in a darkish blue onion pattern.
Invalid feeders, as their name would suggest, were used for feeding ill or incapacitated patients with soft, liquid type / mushy foods.
This example would date back to the late 19th Century or early 1900's.
Please keep an eye on our listings as we shall be selling the substantial collection of a retired chemist in the next few weeks.
No BUY NOW.
ALSO, PLEASE NOTE that the courier quotes are the cheapest available (ex Christchurch) from either Fastways and/or Courier Post but you MUST check with them BOTH as to whether they consider your address to be URBAN or RURAL and WILL deliver. They each have quite different ideas which may (probably will) differ from yours!
Neither will deliver to P.O. Boxes.
