It has the original battery powered light that illuminates the clock face. I have replaced the bulb with an LED and with the new AA battery will keep shining for many years yet. The wind up clock is original and working well. It runs for more or less 48 hours on a wind. The weather people can be adjusted by rotating the chimney.
