Description
This auction is for my new plywood Manu Tukutuku entitled 'Tama-nui-te-ra', a personified form of our Sun.
This kite is a piece of artwork and doesn't actually fly! It's purpose is to brighten up a wall or area/space and would look fantastic suspended from a ceiling inside or hung outside on a wall or in the garden up a tree.
It is made out of treated plywood, mostly 12mm and is reinforced with a length of thicker wood along the back of the wing.
The kite is painted with quality Ironlak spray paint used for external applications, plus I've sprayed it with Ironlak 'Lak' a kind of clear coat varnish to protect it from the weather and UV light from the Sun.
The wingspan is 1.4 metres.
Thanks for checking out this auction and feel free to checkout my other artworks. This piece is on display at the 'Twin Rivers Art Gallery' in Taumarunui.
