ToolShed Trade Midi Wood Working Lathe

An excellent quality lathe for those who are either just beginning and don’t want to spend too much money or for those experienced turners who turn quite small work and enjoy the precision you can get from having a smaller lathe like this, either case, the ToolShed Trade midi lathe is a joy to use and excellent value for money.

Manufactured from a machined cast iron bed, head and tail stock, this machine locks securely in place for use. This keeps your material nice and centered so you know that every pass of your chisel will be accurate. Powered by a copper wound 370W (1/2HP) motor, the lathe features four belt driven speeds, 760RPM to 3200RPM and is very simple to change.

The lathe is 400mm between centres and has a 240mm swing. It is also supplied with a live centre, spur centre on a Morse taper 2 and an 80mm face plate. Also supplied is a banjo style tool rest that can be adjusted up and down the bed.

The thread on the head stock is 1” x 8TPI, perfect for use with the Teknatool insert ‘IDNS’ if you wanted to attach SuperNova chucks etc…

You also have the option to add an extension bed to this lathe giving you a full 1m between centres.
