I use 2 strands of 8 ply/double knitting 100% NZ wool to hand knit my toddler size beanies in my smoke free home.
They are soft, breathable and seamless (as knitted on a circular loom) so comfortable on delicate skin. They have a double brim for extra snugness and which helps beanie stay on securely.
An ideal present for posting as they are small and very light.
