FURminator deShedding Tools are designed to quickly and easily remove (they don't cut) the loose, dead, undercoat hair that is the underlying source of shedding. The tool's uniquely designed stainless steel edge grabs loose undercoat hair and harmlessly removes it without damaging the topcoat. Works great on all shedding dogs (both long and short-haired.).

The tool is fine to use every day but for most breeds using the tool for once to twice a week for 10 to 20 minutes will reduce shedding by up to 90%.

A few breeds that are typically not good candidates are Poodles, Shitzus, Maltese, Bichons.
