Description

Electronic pickpocketing refers to the process of stealing credit card information from people in a public place using RFID wireless technologies. It is a form of identity theft.

In recent years, it has become easier for hackers to use existing wireless hotspots and move through a crowd to steal credit card data using RFID wireless technologies. As you know, credit cards are made with an embedded RFID chip that can be read by some wireless devices. This has led to things like contactless payment systems, but it has also exposed cardholders to financial fraud. To combat this new type of identity theft, ID Guards Card shielding device creates an E-Field, an electronic surround field that instantly detects RFID (radio frequency identification) readers and scanners. Once a threatening signal is detected, the ID Guard Card creates a 90mm halo E-Field which jams and scrambles RFID signals on credit cards, debit cards and passports, it protects personal information from hackers; all RFID chips within the E-Field become invisible and impregnable to any skimming device preventing wireless technology signals from reaching inside someone’s wallet, purse or pack.
