Are you an experienced and qualified chef looking for a rewarding role with a school?
New Plymouth Boys' High School is currently seeking a Senior Chef/ Chef de partie to join our kitchen team in Hatherly House, our boarding house which caters for 190 students.
In this crucial position, you will be leading our dinner meals in Hatherly House for up to 200 individuals and assisting with catering functions during the school term.
Your role will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth operation of our hostel kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure the highest standards of food are prepared and served for our boarders at school.
Skills and Experience

40 hrs per week during school term (40 weeks a year) and some school holidays where needed.
The remuneration for this position will be a salary negotiated dependent on experience (Concurrent with the `Caretakers, Cleaners and Canteen” collective agreement).

- Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.
- Shows initiative and problems solving skills.
