Heart Kids NZ is the only charity dedicated to supporting children with heart conditions and their families through life. Each week 12 babies are born with a congenital heart defect in New Zealand and many school age children are affected by Rheumatic Heart Disease. We are looking for a qualified, positive, caring and well-organised person to join our Family Support team.

If you have excellent listening and interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a wide range of families, health professionals and community agencies, are a self-starter, a professional with high integrity bound by confidentiality, able to work both independently and as part of this dynamic team, able to travel and knowledgeable of the Northland region and its community agencies we’d love to hear from you.

Experience working with families, children, teenagers, young adults in a health and/or community role is a requirement, as is computer literacy and a qualification in social/health sciences.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory police and occupational health check and the successful candidate will need to have a full Driver's Licence plus be flexible to travel within the Northland region.
