Specialising in Greenhouse automation, fertiliser dosing, crop specific nutrients manufactured in house, pH correctors, system design, supply and installation, along with a whole range of consumables.

PGO are looking for a Hydroponic Field Technician with recent, relevant experience to join their team.

PGO is based at Tirau in the Waikato, however if the right person in based in/near Auckland or the BOP then we encourage them to apply as the location is flexible.

The key areas of responsibility for this role are:
• Installation of complete Hydroponic systems, ranging from plumbing to low voltage wiring
• Maintenance and repair to existing systems, both large and small
• To design complete hydroponic systems based on client requirements
• Fantastic attitude, with a focus on customer service
• This role varies greatly, somebody that shows initiative and a good understanding of the industry will go far
The successful applicant will:
• must have a minimum of three years’ experience in at least one of the following: hydroponics, horticulture, fertigation, greenhouse control, plumbing, electrical wiring or automation controllers.
• have a good understanding of a variety of crops, as well as industry related products
• must be capable of safely performing repairs or installations in a construction setting, which includes ladders, tight spaces and liaising with other contractors.
• be practical and mechanically minded i.e. willing to roll up their sleeves and make things happen
• be organised with good computer skills
• have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• be willing to travel throughout the country as required, occasionally at short notice
• work well as part of a team that moves mountains to keep their customers happy
• have a full drivers licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
