Description

Profile Group

Profile Polymers Limited (PPL) started as a small business unit within Profile Group and has now grown to employ more than 40 people at our custom-built Hamilton factory, running a dozen extrusion and injection moulding machines producing custom plastic profiles and mouldings.

Innovation and customer service are core values. We customise solutions for almost any application, delivered at a pace the rest of the industry can only dream of. We’re a youthful, dynamic business, unconstrained by years of tradition, and committed to minimising our impact on the environment. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you’ll own accurate financial reporting, strong cashflow management, and the disciplined day-to-day accounting that keeps the business running well. It’s a broad role that encompasses everything from accounts payable and receivable through to month-end close, fixed assets, budgeting, and NZ compliance.

You’ll be based at our Karewa Place (Te Rapa, Hamilton) site four days a week, with one day each week at the Profile Group office in Hautapu (Cambridge).

What you’ll be doing

Managing end-to-end accounts payable and receivable

Daily bank reconciliations and preparing payment runs

Preparing weekly and 13-week rolling cashflow forecasts

Delivering month-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations

Preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis

Maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation

Preparing GST returns, FBT documentation, and other NZ statutory filings for review

Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and re-forecasts

Why join us

A broad, hands-on role where the finance function for the business is genuinely yours to own

A direct line to the Group Finance Manager, with real support and visibility

A business with growth ambitions and clear plans to get there

Clear expectations and a well-defined structure

How to apply

Apply with your CV and a short cover letter telling us why this role suits you. You’ll need to hold current NZ work rights. What you’ll bring

Solid month-end experience in a similar role

Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP, and strong Excel skills

Sound working knowledge of NZ GST

Confidence dealing with people at every level, from operational staff through to senior leadership

Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and a self-motivated approach to hitting deadlines

Ideally, you’ll hold a degree in accounting or finance and be CA/CPA qualified or working towards it. Previous experience in a manufacturing business is a real advantage.
