Tractor Driver / Property management

Orari Gorge Station is located just near Geraldine in the South Canterbury foothills. We are just 10 minutes from the town of Geraldine with shops, banks, restaurants, sports clubs, pre-school and High School. Only 45 minutes from the middle of Timaru and Ashburton.

We are looking for a keen, machinery orientated person to join our team. We run 25,000su over 4,500ha. About 500Ha of flat, 700Ha rolling and the rest in tussock hill country. The successful applicant will work with the manager to ensure successful winter feed crops, silage, and the re-grassing program. They will be expected to work with our agronomist, fertiliser reps and contractors. They will be required to record all activity through Hawk Eye and Farm IQ. They will also be responsible for property maintenance such as track maintenance and maintaining the stock water schemes. They will be competent operating modern tractors on slopes as well as flats. Competent in drilling, cultivating mowing and some spraying. They will be up to date with Health and Safety regulations around these activities and ideally have a Growsafe certificate or able to attain one soon. The job can require flexible hours to work around the weather and busy times and quiet times.

There is a four bedroom house available on the property, recently refurbished with new insulation and double glazing throughout, Log Burners and good Wi-Fi. We have a great team culture and are looking for the right person to fit in and help take the business forwards.
