Centra Motor Co is the authorised dealership for Hyundai, ISUZU Utes & Mazda in North Otago. Based in Oamaru, we’re a well-established business with a proud reputation for quality workmanship. We service and maintain a wide range of vehicles for both retail and commercial customers across the region.
We have an opening for a Workshop Technician to join our team in Oamaru.
Are you an experienced mechanic in need of a change? Are you wanting to step foot into a dealership with class leading brands?
This role is for a qualified automotive technician who takes pride in their work and has excellent diagnostic skills. You’ll work on a variety of makes and models (with a focus on Mazda, Hyundai, and Isuzu), using the latest diagnostic equipment and technical resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, WOF, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Perform accurate diagnostics and fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, to high quality and safety standards
About You:
- Qualified Automotive Technician (National Certificate in Automotive Engineering or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally in a dealership or similar environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Current NZ driver’s licence (full)
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ideally WOF certified
