About the Role: You will be a qualified and experienced Mechanic/Technician who is able to handle a range of tasks, including routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and major overhauls of our client’s fleet and equipment. This position offers a diverse workload with both workshop and field duties. A suitable service vehicle is provided, along with tools and a laptop to ensure Mechanics/Technicians can perform precise diagnostics and repairs. This role is based at our clients Wellington based site.
Skills & Attributes:
- Experience and relevant certification for servicing and repairing heavy diesel vehicles.
- Proactive approach to equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Ability to maintain high standards with minimal supervision
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety practices
- Self-starter with excellent time management, communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Current full, clean driver's license with F, HT, WTR endorsements preferred (but not essential)
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to return a clear Ministry of Justice Background check and drug test.
