About the Role Our client is seeking a Fire Protection Estimator to join the Auckland team. This role is also open to experience estimators looking to make the jump to the Fire Protection industry as well as experienced Fire system technicians and installers looking to make the next step in their fire protection career. An average day would include creating estimations for the installation of new Fire Protection systems, liaising with clients and advising on their Fire Protection needs and relaying that information to the project manager to ensure jobs stay on track from the start.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating new Fire Protection systems for new and existing builds
• Negotiating with suppliers to ensure projects stay on time and on budget
• Traveling to sites to meet with stakeholders and project managers
• Review technical drawings and Fire reports

About You The ideal candidate will bring strong estimation experience be it electrical, plumbing, mechanical and or a strong background in Fire Protection. This role will involve meetings with stakeholders, so being personable is a must. Our client is looking for someone just as comfortable on the job site as they are presenting a new tender to a client.

Key attributes include:

• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and building plans
• Experience in estimating works including labor and materials
• Keen knowledge of NZS 4512 / NZS 4541
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision
• Well presented with strong client relation skills
• Able to understand and action Fire reports
• Strong knowledge of building codes
• Excellent customer service skills
