Description
Summary: We are looking for a skilled labourer to join our team and contribute to a range of civil construction projects across the Canterbury area. Ideal Candidate:
- Resides in the Christchurch area.
- Has experience in civil trades and construction work.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks related to civil construction projects.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Installation of kerb and channel, or experience with concrete formation.
- Perform general civil labour duties as required.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a “can-do” attitude.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in civil trades and construction work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Class 2 driver’s license preferred (support provided to attain if not held).
- Site Safe or similar safety training (advantageous).
