Quarry Worker

McCallum Bros are a family owned business based in Auckland which has been operating since 1904. We are a leading supplier of sand and aggregates to the building, roading, landscaping and turf industries throughout the North Island.

We currently have the opportunity for an experienced Quarry Worker to join the team at our Cambridge Sand Quarry on a permanent full-time basis. In this role, you will operate quarry machinery, quarry plant screens, pumps & conveyors, loaders, diggers and dump trucks within our quarry operation to support production targets.

This will be an ongoing full-time position. The standard hours of work are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some weekend work when needed. We offer a good hourly rate, based on experience. Full training will be provided in areas where needed.

What we are looking for:

• Someone who has previous experience operating loaders, diggers and quarry plant or similar heavy machinery.
• A team player who is physically fit
• A strong commitment to health and safety
• A valid New Zealand driver’s licence (Class 2, Class 4 and WTR endorsement would be an advantage).
• Flexible, committed and reliable
• A willingness to work hard and learn
• The legal right to live and work in New Zealand
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
