Preschool Kaiako

We are offering the rare opportunity for a new Kaiako to join our Preschool team at Seedlings Longhurst, due to one of our much-loved Kaiako relocating to the North Island.

Seedlings is proudly owned and operated by two Directors who are both fully certified and experienced ECE leaders, who are committed to the important role that we play in our community.

We have a strong team of experienced Kaiako who do what they love and love what they do! We pride ourselves on the fact that we all have shared values, which in turn supports a positive professional culture. A culture that demonstrates gratitude and kindness.

Our centre is well resourced with a strong emphasis on the provision of a natural and purposeful learning environment with strong links to the Reggio and RIE Philosophies. Whilst it would be an advantage if you have had experience working within a Reggio and RIE based philosophy it is not imperative as long as you have a growth mindset and are open to learning. We provide primary caregiving in our Nursery and have key teachers in our Preschool.

The hours of work are 32 hours per week, across 4 days.
