BestStart Wainoni Road is looking for a passionate Teacher in Training to join our caring, close-knit Nursery team. Our centre is a stable, loving, and safe place in the community where every child, whānau, and culture is welcomed and celebrated. Conveniently located on a main road with easy bus access, we're proud of our diverse team of experienced Kaiako who create meaningful learning experiences for every tamaiti.
About the Role
If you're enrolled in a Level 7 Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and excited to support our youngest learners, this role offers the perfect environment to grow your skills. You'll be working in our Nursery, with opportunities to collaborate across our four age-specific classrooms and spacious outdoor areas designed for exploration and discovery.
This is a permanent position working 5 days per week, 7 hours per day on a rotating roster.

What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor programme
- Understanding of child-led curriculum and learning extension
- Knowledge of ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance expectations
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural practice
- Genuine passion for teaching and making a difference
