Reliever Teacher - Taupo

At BestStart, we are recruiting Reliever Teachers to join our Taupō Reliever Team, supporting our local centres and nearby communities.

Our relievers play a vital role in ensuring every tamariki continues to receive high-quality care and education, even when permanent teachers are away. As a Reliever Teacher with BestStart, you'll have the chance to inspire young minds, build strong connections, and contribute meaningfully to children's learning journeys.

About the RoleAs a Reliever Teacher, you will step confidently into our centres, working alongside experienced and welcoming teams. Your role includes:

• Embracing variety – Work across BestStart centres in Taupō and surrounding areas.
• Using your initiative – Support learning environments and contribute positively from day one.
• Making a difference – Engage with tamariki and support their development and wellbeing.

What You Need * NZ ECE or Primary teaching qualification (BEd / Grad Dip – Level 7 or higher)

• Current NZ Teacher Registration (Provisional or Full)
• NZQA endorsement (if applicable, for overseas qualifications) confirming Level 7 or higher
• Valid work eligibility in New Zealand
• References - Current and most recent managers
