Trade Assistant – Engineering (Welding/Fabrication) We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Trade Assistant to join a workshop-based welding and fabrication team in Harewood. If you’re eager to gain hands-on experience in a workshop environment and support skilled welders and fabricators, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Location: Harewood Pay Rate: $27–29 per hour Start: Immediate start available
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with a variety of welding and fabrication tasks within the workshop
- Supporting qualified welders and fabricators in the production process
- Preparing materials and equipment for welding and fabrication projects
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Performing general workshop duties, including handling tools and machinery
- Learning new skills and techniques to enhance your welding and fabrication knowledge
What You’ll Need to Bring
- At least 1 year of welding experience (no specific tickets required)
- Solid understanding of workshop safety procedures
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of a hands-on, labour-intensive role
- A willingness to learn and grow in the welding and fabrication field
