Operations & International Customer Service Manager
We are an Auckland-based international trading company specialising in sourcing, processing and exporting recyclable materials and scrap commodities to overseas markets. With a growing global client base and expanding operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Manager to oversee customer service delivery, export coordination and operational performance across international markets. The role oversees multi-regional customer coordination, supervises offshore operational support functions, manages service performance standards, and ensures efficient end-to-end operational delivery across international markets maintaining international client relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer service operations and coordinate business activities across international markets.
- Oversee the full customer order process from enquiry through to delivery.
- Communicate and maintain relationships with overseas clients across different time zones.
- Supervise operational support teams and ensure service performance standards are met.
- Ability to use CRM and business systems to track customer interactions, orders and service performance.
- Monitor operational data and implement improvements to enhance service efficiency.
- Maintain strong relationships with international clients and stakeholders.
- Manage customer enquiries, complaints and service escalations.
- Coordinate operational planning, workflow and resource allocation.
- Improve operational systems and processes to increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and international trading requirements. Skills and Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor’s qualification in business/management
- Having managerial experience is highly preferred but not mandatory
- Experience managing multi-region or overseas customer relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capability.
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with CRM or business management systems is an advantage.
- This role requires flexibility to communicate with overseas clients across different time zones and able to work during weekends.
- Speaking multi-language is an advantage
