Level 4 Caregiver (Night Shift) | Permanent | Alden Rose Court, Christchurch

Alden is a privately owned specialist aged care provider delivering rest home, hospital, and dementia-level care across 20 residential facilities throughout New Zealand. We are currently seeking an experienced Level 4 Night Shift Caregiver to join our team at Alden Rose Court in Christchurch.

This is a permanent night shift role working Sunday to Thursday, 11:00pm to 7:00am.

About the Role

As a Level 4 Night Shift Caregiver at Alden, you'll play a key role in ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and well cared for overnight. You'll also provide leadership and guidance during the shift, helping maintain continuity of care and smooth operations.

You will:

• Deliver high-quality personal care in a respectful and compassionate manner
• Administer medications in line with your Medication Competency and Alden policies
• Act as a shift lead, supporting and guiding the care team overnight
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and respond appropriately to any changes or incidents
• Work closely with nursing staff and hand over key information effectively
• Maintain a safe, culturally responsive environment, including upholding Tikanga Maori practices

About You This role requires a confident and experienced caregiver who is comfortable leading night shifts and working independently.

You will bring:

• NZQA Level 4 Health & Wellbeing qualification (essential)
• Current Medication Competency (essential)
• Previous shift lead or senior caregiver experience (essential)
• Experience working night shifts in aged care or a similar setting
• Strong understanding of Health & Disability Sector Standards
• A calm, reliable, and professional approach
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
