We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting children to be the best they can be!
In a proactive and positive environment, children thrive and grow. At our after school programme, our staff are at the forefront of promoting active participation with peers, goal achievement and learning and education.
As a Support Worker in our After School Programme, you will work as part of a team, dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy space, where children with an intellectual disability can spend time after school. Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will facilitate meaningful activities and support children to engage in a variety of tasks.
Minimum requirements:
- A full New Zealand driver's licence
- Able to pass a NZ police check and Oranga Tamariki check
- An interest in attaining a Community Support Worker Level Three or above qualification- we can support you to achieve this while you work
- Previous experience in caring for children with disabilities - preferred, but not essential
