About the role
Support the kitchen team with food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You'll play an important part in ensuring meals are delivered smoothly and meet residents' needs. This is a casual role with rostered shifts, primarily weekends.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food preparation (vegetables, plating, and meal setup)
- Support meal service and ensure food is presented appropriately
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including dishes, surfaces, and equipment
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards
- Assist with stock rotation, storage, and general kitchen organisation
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and wider team

Skills & experience
You'll be successful if you bring:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, or similar environment (preferred)
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices
- A reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude
- Willingness to learn and support the kitchen team where needed
- Respect for residents' cultural and personal needs
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (we are unable to provide visa support for this role)
