About the role

Support the kitchen team with food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You'll play an important part in ensuring meals are delivered smoothly and meet residents' needs. This is a casual role with rostered shifts, primarily weekends.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation (vegetables, plating, and meal setup)
• Support meal service and ensure food is presented appropriately
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including dishes, surfaces, and equipment
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards
• Assist with stock rotation, storage, and general kitchen organisation
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and wider team

Skills & experience

You'll be successful if you bring:

• Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, or similar environment (preferred)
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices
• A reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude
• Willingness to learn and support the kitchen team where needed
• Respect for residents' cultural and personal needs
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (we are unable to provide visa support for this role)
