Nestled between rolling fairways and one of New Zealand’s most stunning coastlines, The Dunes is a golf destination with a bar and grill that’s redefining what golf course hospitality can be—relaxed, customer-centric, and deeply connected to its community and members. We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead our hospitality operation, bring our vision to life, and help shape a vibrant, sustainable future for this iconic venue.

The Opportunity This is a hands-on leadership position with full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the venue, including:

• Overseeing all food and beverage operations
• Leading, training, and inspiring a small, close-knit team
• Driving energetic, high-quality service standards that keep guests returning
• Managing rosters, stock, suppliers, and cost control
• Collaborating with the chef and kitchen team on menu development and continuous improvement
• Creating a welcoming environment that the community and members are proud of—and visitors seek out
• Navigating seasonal fluctuations while maintaining exceptional customer service

About You You’re more than a manager—you’re an operator who thrives in dynamic environments.

• Proven experience in hospitality leadership (restaurant, bar, or premium casual)
• Confident across both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
• Commercially astute with a strong focus on profitability and efficiency
• A natural leader who builds culture, not just manages staff
• Holds or has previously held a NZ Duty Manager’s Licence (renewal required)
• Eligible to work in New Zealand
• Calm under pressure, organised, and solutions-focused
• Passionate about great service, great food, and great environments
• Able to work collaboratively with the wider leadership team
