Job Description
We’re looking for a Safety and Recovery Support Coordinator to join our People & Risk team and play a key role in supporting our people when they need it most.
You’ll be the main point of contact for workplace injury coordination under the ACC Accredited Employer Programme, helping employees return to work safely and confidently while ensuring our systems, documentation, and compliance standards remain strong.
In addition to injury coordination, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our health and safety systems, incident tracking, audits, and fatigue management initiatives. You’ll also work closely with HR and managers on medical reviews and fitness-for-work processes, supporting fair and compliant outcomes for employees where ongoing work capacity is uncertain.
This is a people-focused role with real impact and is ideal for someone who enjoys combining empathy, organisation, and practical problem-solving to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring: *A relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience *Experience in health & safety coordination, injury management, or a similar role (return-to-work or ACC exposure an advantage) *A working knowledge of the New Zealand ACC scheme, or the ability to learn quickly *Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities *Clear written and verbal communication skills *Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel *A current Full NZ driver’s licence
