About the Role

Due to internal career progression, we have two ninemonth fixedterm opportunities available for motivated, positive, and highly organised HR Coordinators to join our AskHR team. These roles sit at the centre of our HR function, supporting more than 8,000 employees and managers across the organisation.

You will play an essential part in ensuring key processes run smoothly, compliance requirements are met, and employees receive timely and accurate support. This is a busy and varied role where no two days are the same, and your ability to manage information, coordinate multiple tasks, and provide excellent customer service will be well utilised.

We operate a hybrid model with the opportunity to work from home up to two days per week.

About Hamilton

Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton and is a leading tertiary teaching hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand, serving as the regional hub for the Midland area, which includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts. With around 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure centre, Waikato Hospital provides comprehensive hospital services, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. As a major teaching hospital with affiliations to the University of Auckland, University of Waikato, and Wintec, it offers a dynamic learning environment and access to research opportunities. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities located on the Waiora Waikato Hospital Campus, with both road and air ambulance support.

About you

You will bring:

  • 2+ years administrative experience in an HR environment
  • Experience using HRIS / HRMS or other relevant systems
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage highvolume tasks with accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutionfocused mindset
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn internal systems
  • A collaborative, teamfocused approach and a commitment to delivering great service
