At Trade Assist, we're looking for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client's team in Cromwell.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for stable, Monday-to-Friday work with the potential to secure a permanent position. The role is expected to start in October and offers a genuine long-term pathway for the right person.
If you have previous Hiab experience, this would be highly advantageous, although we're also interested in speaking with strong Class 2 Drivers who are keen to develop their skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle
- Completing local deliveries and collections
- Loading and unloading goods
- Operating Hiab equipment where required
- Ensuring loads are secured and transported safely
- Completing daily vehicle safety checks
- Maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Providing professional customer service
- Following all Health & Safety and road transport requirements
- General driving and delivery duties as required
What we're looking for:
- Holds a current Class 2 NZ Driver Licence
- Has previous commercial driving experience
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently
- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Hiab experience is highly desirable
- Comfortable completing basic vehicle checks and paperwork
