Marketing & Member Experience Coordinator

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, people-focused individual to help grow our club, strengthen member engagement, and create an exceptional experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

About the Role As our Marketing & Member Experience Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in helping grow the club’s membership and building an active, connected community.

You’ll become one of the friendly faces of Christchurch Squash Club, helping members, visitors, and casual players while also creating engaging marketing content that showcases everything happening around the club.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage member email communications
• Coordinate and grow the club’s social media presence
• Capture photos and videos from club events, competitions, coaching, and social activities
• Create engaging content that promotes the club, its members, and upcoming events
• Assist with membership campaigns and promotional initiatives
• Support marketing campaigns aimed at attracting new members
• Welcome members, visitors, and casual players
• Assist with court bookings and enquiries
• Help visitors feel comfortable and connected within the club
• Support competitions, club nights, and events
• Build relationships with members and encourage participation in club activities
• Provide light bar service during evening trading
• Maintain a welcoming and professional clubhouse environment
• Assist with general evening operations as required

About You You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating great experiences.

Ideally you’ll have experience in one or more of the following:

• Digital marketing
• Social media management
• Customer/Guest service
• Community engagement
• Experience within the sport, fitness, recreation or related industries would be highly regarded.

You’ll also bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence using email marketing and social media platforms
• A creative mindset and good eye for content
• Strong organisational skills
• A friendly, outgoing personality
• Initiative and the ability to work independently
• Confidence interacting with people of all ages

An interest in squash isn’t essential, but a passion for sport and building communities certainly is.

Hours

• Around 15-20 hours per week, mainly evenings (Monday to Friday), though we're flexible and happy to shape the schedule around the right person too if there is a specific night(s) you can't work.
