We are now seeking a proactive and detailâfocused Processing Engineering Administrator to join our Engineering team based in Gisborne. This role provides essential operational and administrative support to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant dayâtoâday engineering activities. Youâll be responsible for procurement, inventory management, scheduling, financial tracking, and maintaining accurate documentation and workflows. This is a permanent full-time role with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & inventory support
Source, quote, and order parts; maintain records in CMMS and LinkFresh
Coordinate supplier pickups and deliveries
Monitor inventory levels and complete stock counts
Financial & budget support
Track engineering expenses and assist with budget preparation
Process and reconcile invoices
Prepare monthly financial summaries
Administration & compliance
Manage timesheets and schedule engineering jobs
Coordinate training, certifications, travel, and accommodation
Maintain work orders, asset records, and audit documentation
Support health, safety, and regulatory compliance
Team coordination & continuous improvement
Assist with onboarding processes
Monitor KPIs and support workflow improvements
Develop and maintain templates, processes, and documentation
About You Weâre looking for someone who is organised, accurate, and confident working in a fastâpaced technical environment.
Essential skills and experience:
At least 3 years xperience in engineering, maintenance, or technical administration role or a qualification (Diploma level or above) in Business Administration or Engineering
Strong organisational and coordination skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with procurement, parts ordering, or inventory management
Excellent communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred:
Experience using CMMS, SAP, SharePoint, or LinkFresh
Background in engineering, manufacturing, or processing
Understanding of budgeting or cost tracking
Knowledge of health, safety, or compliance requirements
