Description

Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator – Palmerston North

On site | Monday–Friday + Rostered Saturdays

We’re looking for a confident, organised Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator to support transport scheduling, supplier coordination, and weighbridge administration at our busy Palmerston North site. This role suits someone with a strong trucking or logistics background who is comfortable dealing with drivers, suppliers, and operational teams in a busy, hands-on environment. A strong personality, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule daily and weekly transport jobs
  • Dispatch work using internal systems, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Act as a key point of contact for drivers and operational staff
  • Support supplier enquiries, pricing quotes, and relationship management
  • Provide administrative and customer service support, including phone enquiries
  • Assist with weighbridge operations and payment processing when required
  • Maintain accurate records across dispatch and database systems
  • Support Health & Safety reporting and site compliance

About You

  • Experience in logistics, dispatch, transport administration, coordination, or yard operations
  • Confident communicator with the ability to deal with drivers professionally
  • Strong organisational skills and numerical accuracy
  • Comfortable using Excel, email, and database systems
  • Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player
  • Clean, current NZ driver’s licence
  • Able to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Check
