Admin All-Rounder – Taupo
Entec delivers high quality work across the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, gas detection and compliance fields and we’re proud to be a genuinely great place to work. Think good banter, H&S breakfasts, Friday afternoon drinks and the occasional team building session.
Our Taupo office opened in 2022 and is an important hub for our team. With our current Administrator relocating, we’re looking for someone proactive, detail focused and happy to roll up their sleeves.
You’ll often be the only person in the office, so confidence working independently and staying on task is key, but the team pop in for a chat throughout the day and the New Plymouth admin crew are always a call away.
Responsibilities
- Run the Taupo office smoothly - reception, phones, mail, couriers, tidiness
- Enter/check timesheets, process invoices, create purchase orders
- Open jobs/projects and support Project Managers and technicians
- Work closely with the Taupo Branch Manager and Project Managers when they’re off-site
- Provide cover while others are on leave
- Prepare customer reports and quotations
- Pick up/deliver supplies and maintain office facilities and PPE
- Manage the Taupo vehicle fleet (WOFs, services, RUCs, etc.)
- Support the wider New Plymouth admin team as needed
About You
- Experienced in administration, highly organised with attention to detail
- Excellent communication; proficient in Microsoft Office, quick to learn new systems (Nimbus, Employment Hero)
- Able to work independently, manage your own workload and stay on task
- Positive, adaptable, honest and happy to pitch in wherever needed with a sense of humour
- Knowledge of creditor/debtor invoices, payroll and proforma invoices

Hours, Location & Pay
- Full-time, 30 hours/week (potential to grow to 40)
- Hours: 8:00am – 2:30pm, Monday to Friday (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
- Based in Taupo
- Remuneration starts at $28 per hour, with a performance based review at 3 months
February 2026 start date!
