About the role

As our Team Leader Regulatory Support & LIMs, you'll play a pivotal role leading a dynamic team that provides top-tier administrative and customer support to the Building Assurance and Resource Consents teams. You'll also oversee the delivery of Land Information Memorandum (LIM) services — ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness in line with legislation.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, leadership, and making a meaningful impact at the intersection of people, process, and public service.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team that delivers quality, customer-focused support services
  • Oversee the delivery of LIM services and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Drive process and technology improvements across regulatory support functions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously enhance service delivery and efficiency. Manage operational performance, resource planning, and service standards
  • Champion a customer-first culture and ensure the voice of the customer is heard and acted upon.
  • Contribute to team planning, budgeting, and reporting across regulatory operations.
  • This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, leadership, and making a meaningful impact at the intersection of people, process, and public service.

About you

You're an experienced team leader, passionate about operational excellence and building a culture of customer service and continuous improvement. You're also an excellent communicator who thrives on collaboration and problem-solving.

You'll bring:

  • Proven leadership or management experience in a business support or operational environment.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation, and reporting skills.
  • Experience leading process or technology improvements that enhance customer experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial processes like invoicing and purchase orders.
  • Commitment to bicultural practice, equal employment opportunity, and workplace safety.

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Knowledge of the building consent or resource consent process.
  • Understanding of LIM reports and the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987
  • Experience within local or central government regulatory environments.
