Our client is a well-established frame and truss manufacturer with a growing Trade / wholesale division, and we're looking for an experienced Yard Person who understands how a professional trade yard operates.
We’re seeking an experienced Yard Person with a strong background in trade building supplies to join our busy operation. This role is ideal for someone currently working (or who has worked) in a trade yard environment such as Carters, ITM, Mitre 10 Trade, PlaceMakers, or similar
The Role
- Supporting trade customers with orders and enquiries
- Picking, staging, and preparing materials for dispatch
- Forklift operation within a busy trade yard
- Maintaining yard organization, stock accuracy, and safety standards
- Working closely with sales, dispatch, and production teams
About You
- Previous experience in a high-volume trade yard or building supply environment
- Strong product knowledge (timber, fixings, sheet products, general building materials)
- Current forklift license - essential
- Comfortable working with trade customers and understanding their expectations
- Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 4:30pm
- As the business continues to grow, Saturday morning work may be required
- Pay rate: $30 - $33 per hour, depending on experience
