Qualified Builder / Lead Carpenter - Tauranga/BOP

We’re looking to grow our small team as work continues to pick up, and I’m keen to bring on an experienced builder to step into a lead role and help carry the load as the business grows. I currently run a tight-knit team of two and want to build a solid core team capable of delivering higher-end, more complex residential builds. Quality, organisation, and pride in workmanship are key. The role

• Lead and work alongside a small on-site team
• Run day-to-day site activities and sequencing
• Take ownership of build quality on your site
• Coordinate sub-trades and suppliers
• Maintain clean, safe, well-run sites
• Support more complex and higher-end residential builds
• Travel to build sites as required (generally within 1 hour and within our region) You’ll still be hands-on, but with genuine responsibility and trust to run jobs properly and set the standard on site. Who this suits
• A senior builder ready to step into a leadership role
• A foreman or lead hand wanting more responsibility
• A self-employed builder wanting less admin and more building
• Someone who enjoys problem-solving and complex builds What I’m looking for
• Strong residential building experience
• Confidence leading a small team
• Comfortable with higher-end or more complex work
• Organised, reliable, and proactive
• Good communication and people skills
• Willing to travel within the region (mostly within 1 hour)
• Pride in workmanship and site presentation
• LBP preferred (or working towards) What’s on offer
