Project Manager (New House Construction)

NEXT construction has over 30 years combined building and development experience. We specialise in new house and apartment projects, working closely with contractors to deliver quality outcomes with care, efficiency and detail.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our expanding team — whether you’re an experienced professional or a junior looking to step up into project management, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in the construction industry.

You’ll be responsible for managing a range of construction projects, coordinating with contractors, clients, and supply partners to ensure smooth project delivery. For less experienced applicants, you’ll receive full support, mentoring, and hands-on guidance from our project team.

Some job oversight will be: Oversee house and apartment construction projects from start to finish

Coordinate contractors, materials, and site operations

Track budgets, timelines, and project progress

Communicate clearly with our internal team, contractors, clients.

Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with all building and safety standards

Work collaboratively to deliver high-quality results

We’re Looking For: Previous experience in construction, site coordination, or project delivery

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Understanding of NZ building practices and H&S standards (advantageous)

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Full NZ driver’s license required
