The English Craftsman enjoys a high-end reputation within the Greater Wellington region, for quality joinery products and installations. We manufacture, paint and install our own products so we take ownership of the process from start to finish to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded. We are a growing company and merged with Amalgamated Joiners in 2022. Our attitude towards our work is to provide the very best level of expertise and service to our clients.
We’re on the lookout for an experienced joiner to join our small, friendly team, working on beautiful timber windows, doors and custom cabinetry for character and heritage homes around the Wellington region.

About the role
You’ll be:
Making quality timber joinery in the workshop – not just standard frames, but interesting, one-off pieces too
Working with double-glazed timber windows and doors, including sash windows and French doors and bi-folds
Taking ownership of jobs from plans through to completion
Helping to guide and support juniors/apprentices
Talking with builders and homeowners and representing us in a friendly, professional way

About you:
*Solid experience in timber joinery
*Confident reading and working from detailed plans and sketches
*Take pride in tidy, high-quality workmanship and finishing
*Full NZ driver’s licence and the right to work in New Zealand
