Restoration Technician

What the role looks like

This is a hands-on role where every day is different. You’ll work across the Wellington region helping people recover from water, fire and mould damage, while also taking the lead on making sure each job runs smoothly from start to finish.

You’ll work closely with our customers, insurance partners, and subcontractors — keeping everyone informed and making sure the job is done right.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out hands-on restoration work — including water extraction, drying, cleaning/decontamination and deodorisation.
• Using and looking after equipment like dehumidifiers, air movers, and extractors.
• Assessing damage and creating clear job plans and schedules.
• Documenting and reporting of jobs
• Communicating openly with customers, insurers, and the team to keep everyone in the loop.
• Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring the work meets our high standards.
• Keeping jobs on track with budgets and timelines.
• Making sure sites are safe, clean, and professional at all times.
• Finishing strong — with final checks to make sure the customer is happy.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in restoration.
• Full NZ driver’s licence with a clean record.
• Great communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to be part of an after-hours roster when needed.
• Understanding of insurance claim processes (preferred).
