Qualified Electrician We're looking for a qualified and NZ registered Electrician to join a well-established Dunedin electrical company with a strong reputation for delivering quality workmanship. You'll enjoy a varied workload across residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout Dunedin and the surrounding Otago region, working alongside a supportive and professional team.
Location: Dunedin Central, Dunedin Start date: As soon as you're ready Pay rate: $35–$40 per hour (weekly pay)
What you'll be doing
- Complete electrical installations and fit-outs across residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Install, test, maintain, and commission wiring, switchboards, lighting, and electrical systems
- Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction drawings
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
- Ensure all work complies with current New Zealand electrical regulations and health and safety standards
- Deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining accurate job documentation
What you'll need
- NZ Electrical Registration with a current EWRB Practising Licence
- Proven experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical plans
- High attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- Your own hand tools
- A reliable work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
