Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We're looking for a High Voltage Electrician / Electrical Fitter to join our Energy & Utilities team in Paeroa. This is a full‑time, permanent role with 40 guaranteed hours per week, plus penal rates for overtime and night work.
Whether you already have HV experience or you're a qualified electrician ready for a new challenge, we'll help you build the skills to succeed. You'll work on critical electricity infrastructure including substations, transformers, switchgear and wider network assets - Carrying out construction, maintenance and fault repair work that keeps communities powered.
This is a hands‑on role with real variety, technical challenge and a clear pathway to grow your career beyond standard electrical work.

You're a qualified electrician who's ready to apply your skills in a more technical, high‑voltage environment. You'll be confident working hands‑on, safety‑focused, and keen to grow your capability across network assets and substations.
You'll bring:
- A recognised electrical trade qualification
- EWRB registration with a current practising licence
- A Class 1 manual driver's licence (Class 2 an advantage)
- Solid electrical knowledge and confidence using test equipment
- Interest or experience in HV, substations or network equipment
- A strong safety mindset and willingness to learn and upskill
