Licensed or Certifying Plumber / Drainlayer – Foreman Opportunity
Auckland Wide | Full-Time | Company Vehicle | Birthday Off
Remuneration negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and what you bring to the team.
Hey lads, laddies, usos, dokos, cuzzies and everyone in between — Up the Wahs!
From the minute you get to site, chances are you’ll be called uso, doko, brother, cuz, or all four before smoko.
We’re a growing plumbing and drainage company with plenty of work on the books and some exciting opportunities ahead.
We’re on the hunt for a Licensed or Certifying Plumber/Drainlayer to join the team in a Senior role. We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front, run jobs, keep the boys moving, and still jump on the tools when needed.
This isn’t one of those jobs where you spend half the day hiding in the ute pretending to answer emails. You’ll be part of the crew, helping deliver quality projects while building the next generation of tradies.
For the right person, there’s a genuine pathway into management as the business continues to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Running plumbing and drainage projects from start to finish
- Leading apprentices and tradies on site
- Working alongside the crew on the tools
- Coordinating labour and materials
- Communicating with builders, clients, and suppliers
- Helping maintain the quality standards we’re known for
- Contributing ideas and helping improve how we operate
The Work
Our projects are spread across Auckland and include:
- New residential builds
- Standalone homes
- Medium-density townhouse developments
- Apartment buildings
- Small to medium commercial projects
- Private drainage works
- Public and civil drainage projects
- The occasional renovation and maintenance project
No two weeks are exactly the same, which is how we like it.
Who We’re Looking For
- NZ Licensed or Certifying Plumber and/or Drainlayer
- Experience leading jobs and managing crews
- Strong plumbing and drainage knowledge
- Organised, reliable, and takes pride in quality workmanship
- Good communicator with clients, builders, suppliers, and the crew
- Someone who can have a laugh while still getting the job done right
Most importantly, we’re looking for a good bugger who’ll fit the culture and help raise the standard of everyone around them.
What’s In It For You?
- Competitive pay package
- Company vehicle
- Company phone
- Optional iPad
- Uniform and PPE provided
- Paid birthday off – because nobody should be laying drains or crawling under houses on their birthday
- Genuine pathway into management
- Long-term job security
- A growing company where your input actually matters
About The Team
We’re a crew of hardworking tradies who genuinely enjoy coming to work.
Most of us have young families and kids, and the majority of the crew are of Pacific Island descent, so family means a lot to us. We look after our people and understand that what’s happening at home matters just as much as what’s happening on site.
There’s always a bit of banter flying around site. Everyone is your uso, doko or brother, someone’s getting stitched up for bringing KFC to smoko without shouting the boys, and there’s usually someone getting absolutely rinsed for a shocker of a call on site.
Most of the time it’s the boss.
Actually… it’s always the boss.
In fact, if you’ve ever wanted to work somewhere that occasionally takes the piss out of the owner, you’ll fit in just fine. Fair warning though—he gives it back.
A KFC bucket, bunch of pizzas, or even a bakery shout for smoko isn’t uncommon around here. We work hard, look after each other, celebrate the wins, and take pride in producing quality work for our clients.
If someone’s had a win, we’ve wrapped up a big project, or the Wahs have somehow managed to string a few together, there’s usually a feed or a few beers involved.
We’re a crew that backs each other, backs the Wahs on game day, and understands that a good laugh can get you through even the longest trench.
Up the Wahs. Up the standards.
The laughs are free, but the workmanship stays professional.
No massive egos.
No politics.
No passengers.
Just a solid crew, good banter, and quality work.
Keen For A Chat?
Send through your CV and a quick introduction about yourself.
As a bonus, tell us:
- Your favourite song
- Your go-to smoko feed
- Your best tradie joke
And if you’re keen, flick through a photo of your happy place.
Could be a spotless digger cab, a tidy HWC install, a pipework run you’re proud of, behind the wheelbarrow (weridly the bosses favorite place), or standing in a trench admiring your own work.

We’d love to have a yarn.
P.S. If you’re looking for a crew that works hard, has a laugh, celebrates birthdays with a paid day off, doesn’t mind giving the boss a bit of grief now and then, and knows that every year is the Wahs’ year… we’d love to hear from you.
