  • Permanent nightshift based out of our Porirua depot, with work across the Wellington region
  • Weekly wages with additional earning potential through paid overtime
  • Multiple roles available for a dedicated nightshift team

The opportunity

It's an important job maintaining our most precious assets - water, health, and the environment - and here's your chance to be involved.

Our water teams play a critical role in ensuring a continual supply of quality water with minimal interruptions to communities. No two days will be the same as you head out across the Wellington region undertaking a mix of planned and reactive work where you will:

  • Install and repair water connections on all sizes of mains
  • Work on jobs of all shapes and sizes
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with trade practice
  • Flush and charge water mains
  • Work with various teams and contractors to achieve results

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Hands-on experience in the water industry, with the ability to use hand tools, small plant, and machinery
  • A reliable, hard-working, and can-do attitude
  • The ability to use technology (e.g. iPad or tablet) to record information
  • An understanding of and commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • A full, clean NZ Class 1 driver's licence (Class 2 and WTR are an advantage)
  • The ability to work outdoors and complete manual labour tasks

Fulton Hogan works in partnership with Wellington Water (an alliance) to improve three water services across Greater Wellington. The mission: Keeping our communities healthy by delivering water services safely every day. We bring this mission into our daily work.

The alliance outcomes are delivered through a combined workforce between Wellington Water and Fulton Hogan, enabling shared resourcing and innovative solutions for the region's water networks.

Wellington Water's job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed. They do this on behalf of their six council owners.
