Alarm Solutions is a well-established and respected electronic security company, proudly servicing Christchurch and surrounding areas since 1997.
We are looking for an Electronic Security Technician to join our growing team. This role suits someone with hands-on industry experience who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working across a variety of systems and environments.
About the role: You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, fault-finding, and maintenance of a wide range of electronic security systems across domestic and commercial sites, including:
- Intrusion alarms
- CCTV systems
- Access control
- Monitoring solutions
- Fog cannons and related security technologies The role involves both scheduled and reactive work, with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and customer service.
What we’re looking for: We’re seeking a technician who brings experience, initiative, and professionalism to the role.
You will ideally have:
- Experience within the electronic security industry
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- The ability to read and interpret technical documentation and plans
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Pride in your workmanship and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a clean criminal record
Licences and qualifications (advantageous but not essential):
- NZ Certificate in Electronic Security
- EWRB Electrical Appliance Serviceperson or Installer practising licence
