Class 5 Bulk Tip Truck and Trailer Driver

We are seeking an experienced Class 5 Truck and Trailer Driver for our Quarry in Brynderwyn.

The purpose of the role is to drive and operate bulk aggregate tip trucks and any associated equipment, to transport and deliver aggregate as directed, from our quarry to sites within the Auckland or Northland region.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• To drive and operate vehicles safely and responsibly – adhering to all road rules, driving laws and public health and safety guidelines
• Communicating regularly with your manager and site staff, as and when required, throughout daily operations to enable smooth, efficient and effective supply of product to customers.
• Keeping the assigned vehicle clean and in a tidy condition and carry out daily vehicle checks, including reporting any maintenance, mechanical and operational issues.
• To assist with any other work associated with the Company’s business, as and when required and skilled and trained for, to meet operations and customer demands.

The successful applicant must have:

• Class 5 Licence and driving experience (ideally with Road Ranger experience)
• Clean and responsible driving record
• Bulk tipping experience
• Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations

Desirable skills:

• Jack knife to tip off experience
• Spreading/Trailing of various quarry products.
• Understanding of the concrete and/or building industry or relevant industry
• Demonstrates mechanical know-how
• Forklift and/or Loader endorsement and operating experience Atlas offers consistent hours and advancement opportunities within the group.

Note: Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and are required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. On-going random drug testing is carried out.
