These pair buckles originally were made for Japanese traditional garment kimono obi ( belt )

This is original set but more people wears European clothes nowadays so almost of them converted to a brooches

Circa 19th century Meiji, Taisho period

Stunning hand painted pair of colourful birds (male & female) & beautiful dark orange & pale pink flowers with green leaves

White body with blue, yellow, black feather & orange head birds swimming on the water

Round shape, gold dots on the black rim

Silver back has impressed mark on

Size Large 4.8 cm Please compare with NZ $2 dollar coin
