An old map of the boundaries of the Waipoua Forest Northland . Positioned just south of the Waimamaku River. The map size is 550 cm x 380 cm. Published in 1916 by the Surveyor General and the fieldwork by E H Wilmot the man who did the hard work surveying the land. The area of the forest is approximately 28,880 acres so. Adjoining native land is also shown . This forest is known internationally for its huge kauri trees and the Kuari forest itself.
