This is one of those auctions where I am reaching out to my viewers in the hopes someone might be able to I.D. this rather unusual piece. Capped by .900 solid silver on each end, the middle is a shiny black... claw? Stinger? Talon? I'm not sure - it's hard and almost glassy - I guess it could even BE glass - it a very odd thing to make from glass I would have thought.

Some age wear (I believe this is early to mid 20th century) but no significant issues otherwise. Has a weight of 2.8g. It has no stamps or markings, so I got the metal tested by a local bullion trader (see scan photo) which shows the metal as being solid - not plated - .900 silver.
