Really really old, one of 3 that I have by Swiss Artist J L Alberli - He was a smart guy and even invented his own printing press which created the fine black outline which was then coloured by hand in water colours He published a series of Swiss people in various outfits, I don't know how many but I've seen (online only) about 8 different figures, most of which reside in museums around the world or National Galleries. He was kind of more well known for his landscapes in France and Switzerland
Paysanne Servante a Bernes
Circa 1778, hand coloured etching printed on laid paper (you can see the grid lines) which was a method of paper making that wasn't used after the 1800s, the gilded frame also fits in around this era, perhaps not the hanging cord though - that has been replaced maybe late last century.
Excellent condition for such a geriatric with age related discoloration and the backing board has slightly rebelled (wood not accustomed to our climate) but still secure within the frame which is all structurally sound -only noticable when off the wall, to be honest might just return to usual when weather becomes a bit cooler.
20.5cm x 15cm
