This postcard of the New Zealand Shipping Co's Passenger / refrigerated steamer R.M.S. Turakina. The photo, which was probably taken on its delivery from England in 1903, has been signed by the crew / passengers.
The Turakina was sunk by a U-boat off the Scilly Ilse in 1917. The names listed are:
H Musk, E Marsden, Douglas Edsall, S Goodey, A Goodey, J H Nelson, W A Wood,T E J Marsden, A Marsden, J Beauchamp, W Etherington, W E Northcott, R Allan. The Postcard is unused, although it has some creasing.
